“Great Staff”

This hotel was basic European. The staff was friendly and so accomdating. They get 5 stars. The hotel was a little difficult to get to but had amazing views. The room was very clean and had a great terrace with great views.

Area recommendations
Positano is beautiful but be prepared to climb alot of stairs everywhere you go. Taxis and busses cannot get you everywhere in this town that is built into a mountainside. You must walk and climb stairs.

“Spectacular Views, Mediocre Room For the Price”

CONS - Old furnishings, ant problems, mediocre breakfast and hotel was hard to find. Chair rental on pebble beach ridiculously expensive. PROS - Staff was very nice, the ant problem was resolved once we raised it, A/C and a safe in the room - comfortable beds. The views from our room were spectacular

Traveller's tip
Go to one of the many grocery stores, get some fresh bread, cheese, olives, peppers, etc.. and some wine. The restaurants in Positano all seem to be priced similarly (high!) - some good restaurants, some bad. We ate at il fornillo the first night, and found bones in the fish. Beware the scampi, which was too salty to eat (and we LOVE salt)

We had a great time. Convenient for walking to all different areas.

It’s a pleasant walk down to the small grey beach and fishing harbour via narrow, flower-decked alleyways and steps, but the return journey takes some effort (luckily there’s a bus).
