“Great View”
Hotel Posa Posa is in a great location with great views- if you don't mind a short walk down and up a steep hill. My girlfriend and I did not mind the scenic walk that presented breathtaking views and actually looked forward to it, however. For elderly guests or those with previous leg injuries may not want to stay for this reason. The local bus stop is literally in front of the hotel, and it is cheap. But, it always appeared to be very crowded and by taking it one would not be able to enjoy the beautiful views offered by the short walk to the beach.
“Posa Posa in Positano - good value”
The room was spacious and well appointed. Hotel was clean and staff very friendly and helpful. A bit of a walk down to the town center, but the bus stop is nearby if you prefer.
“Delightful hotel with lovely staff”
Really enjoyed staying here. The staff were lovely very welcoming and wonderful to deal with. Would definitely stay here again.
“Quite a Good Place to Stay”
The room had a spa bath; which didn’t work. The room was comfortable; however, it was quite old with bed and pillows not entirely comfortable. There were no bathrobes or bed slippers provided. Staff spoke very good English and were very helpful. The hotel is situated about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the main beach/marina/shopping market area; however, there are shops and restaurants periodically down the road to the main shopping area. Dinner at the hotel is quite expensive, but has an excellent larger patio dining area with excellent views of the fourth floor. Breakfast is average, with a poor selection of fruits, no bacon; however, it does are available on request. Service is also considerably laid back compared to Sorrento or Rome. There are three good restaurants within 5 to 7 minutes walking distance. In particular, I would recommend the Mediterraneo, which has staff who speak very good English, are very entertaining, and on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights have a local musician who sing songs from Italy as a roving musician throughout the restaurant, who also speaks good English and is very entertaining.
“Fell in love with Positano”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Posa Posa Hotel in Positano. The hotel staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Breakfast and dinner on the terrace overlooking the city and ocean was incredible. The hotel is a pretty good walk from the beach. Lots of steps and walking to work off all of the pasta we ate and wine we drank in Positano. It was a fabulous trip.
“Nice hotel, but not 5 star quality at all. A Junior Suite is a plain double room. Not a Suite at all”
It was an amazing experience. Great food, weather, accommodation was suitable, but not 5 star, as advertised.
“Average”
Not a bad hotel but i would choose another next time. Hotel was nice, staff accomodative, room was spacious and we were lucky to get room 505 which was the best view. Surprisingly further from the town then we expected but not a bad walk. It was 15 minutes to get in the city center. Breakfast was not very impressive but for the price it was a decent hotel.
“Hotel was well located and well appointed.”
We had a family room. It was spacious, clean and had an amazing view.
“Not impressed”
I wouldn't stay there again. First I think it was overprized and too close to the entrance of the town. I would've liked it to be more into the town itself.
“Nice Place”
I was a little caught off guard at first that I had to take a short bus ride from the port to the hotel. But since I was there to just relax and wasn;t too concerned with heading out on the town at night it was not a big deal. Hotel was very nice and clean, and the people could not have been nicer. Also close to a more private beach that the hotel recommended, that serves lunch and has chair rental. Overall, a great tome
