“Not impressed”

Hotel posa posa is very high up the mountain and is definitely not a 4 start hotel at best a two in a half star. The free buffet is not very good either

Area recommendations
I would definitely recommend staying down the hill at Boca Boca or murit much better location and restaurant were 100 times better

“Delightful hotel with lovely staff”

Really enjoyed staying here. The staff were lovely very welcoming and wonderful to deal with. Would definitely stay here again.

“Very satisfied with this hotel”

I stayed in the Hotel Posa Posa for 9 nights. It is a clean and comfortable hotel quite well located in Positano. Some very good restuarants nearby, especially Il Fornillo and the Mediterraneo. The staff were very friendly and the rates included a breakfast every morning. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel for the Positano Internal bus so it is easy to walk to town down the hill and catch the bus back if you want. We used the hotel as a base and took the ferry out to Capri and Amalfi and the bus to Sorrento and Pompeii. Would definately stay here again and highly recommend the hotel.

“Not a 4 star hotel as advertised”

Not what we expected. Way overpriced. 4 stars? Never! The hotel room was clean, if anything. I also saw the front desk manager get into quarrel with a nice couple from the US. It has been a while since I have seen a hotel manager scream to a guest. A total disappointment. What saved the stay was the beautiful restaurant terrace, but then again, simply go there for sunset. And again, there is no bad view from anywhere in Positano. Do not stay here, or DO, but expect 3 star quality...

“Fell in love with Positano”

We really enjoyed our stay at the Posa Posa Hotel in Positano. The hotel staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Breakfast and dinner on the terrace overlooking the city and ocean was incredible. The hotel is a pretty good walk from the beach. Lots of steps and walking to work off all of the pasta we ate and wine we drank in Positano. It was a fabulous trip.

The beach and restaurants in Positano are wonderful.

“Highly Recommend Hotel Posa Posa”

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Posa Posa for four days with out two children in June. We were extremely impressed with the hotel staff, cleanliness, and general quality of the hotel. Our room was very large and included two single beds as well as a queen bed. It had a balcony with a beautiful view of the sea and the town of Positano. The bathroom was large and well equipped. Breakfast was wonderful and included eggs made to order. The location was a walk to the town but great exercise! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, particularly if you have children.

“Posa Posa in Positano - good value”

The room was spacious and well appointed. Hotel was clean and staff very friendly and helpful. A bit of a walk down to the town center, but the bus stop is nearby if you prefer.

“Excellent hotel staff”

Fully satisfied with all the aspects of the hotel.We impressed from the friendly behavior of the hotel staff. The wiev from the restaurant is fantastic.We may consider the breakfast a little bit weak,but the A La Carte menu and the service of the restaurant was perfect.Price of the room and restaurant was reasonable.

Naples,Pompei,Sorrento,Amalfi,Ravello All theese towns/cities are wery near to Positano and most of them lies on Amalfi coast.Magnificent places to be visit in Spring,Summer and Autumn.
Must see
No other word.You must see Positano and enjoy.

“Quite a Good Place to Stay”

The room had a spa bath; which didn’t work. The room was comfortable; however, it was quite old with bed and pillows not entirely comfortable. There were no bathrobes or bed slippers provided. Staff spoke very good English and were very helpful. The hotel is situated about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the main beach/marina/shopping market area; however, there are shops and restaurants periodically down the road to the main shopping area. Dinner at the hotel is quite expensive, but has an excellent larger patio dining area with excellent views of the fourth floor. Breakfast is average, with a poor selection of fruits, no bacon; however, it does are available on request. Service is also considerably laid back compared to Sorrento or Rome. There are three good restaurants within 5 to 7 minutes walking distance. In particular, I would recommend the Mediterraneo, which has staff who speak very good English, are very entertaining, and on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights have a local musician who sing songs from Italy as a roving musician throughout the restaurant, who also speaks good English and is very entertaining.

Area recommendations
There is a bus which does do a pickup close to the entrance of Hotel Posa Posa for a return trip from down in the main centre, and a pickup of the local bus which does the circuit around Posa Posa is at the main square in Positano, with tickets available from the tobacconist at €1.50. Throughout the bus there are buttons you can press to indicate when you want to stop, or alternatively tell the bus driver where you want to get off and he will stop for you at that point.

“Great location”

We loved this hotel. The location is wonderful. The staff are very helpful. If you can avoid rooms 101,102, 201 and 202 you are better off. A large tree blocks the wonderful views. We would go back in a second
