“Perfection”
We stayed at Hotel Marina Riviera during our visit to Amalfi in Easter 2012. We had an amazing time largely because of this hotel, which is very special. The staff were terrific. They all spoke great english and were always willing to help. Service with a smile. Breakfast each morning was excellent. The room (a Deluxe Double) was spotless and spacious with a balcony looking out across Amalfi beach. I had read previous reviews saying that the hotel was noisy, but our room had recently been renovated to include sound proofing and as a result we slept well everynight. The hotel is ideally located, just a three minute walk to the marina, where you can catch a ferry to Positano / Capris or a bus to Sorrento / Ravello. I thought that Amalfi was much nicer than both Positano and Sorrento so happy we chose to stay in Amalfi. Its only a 20 minute bus trip to Ravello, which is a must. As is Capris. We were lucky enough to stumble across an amazing restaurant in the main street of Amalfi called Da Gemma, which was first rate. All in all a great stay. Thank you Hotel Marina Rivieria for such a memorable visit.
“Can't wait to go back!”
A lovely location and wonderful facilities made our long weekend a relaxing and luxurious one! The buffet breakfast is brilliant and we could have spent the whole day out on the balcony overlooking the whole of Amalfi. The staff were helpful and efficient and I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
“Great Amalfi location”
Good convenient location especially if you don't have a car. You can walk to everything. Breakfasts were different every day and delicious. Management was very helpful and gave us some good recommendations for places to eat. The only thing missing is a pool.
“Absolute Perfection”
I could not have been more pleased with my stay. The room was always immaculate whenever I returned. The breakfasts were delicious with lots of choices from fresh baked goods to eggs, fruit, tomatoes, cheeses, etc. The personnel were charming and made me feel right at home. Loved that it was a more intimate setting than a very large hotel and within walking distance to town. My views were breathtaking I am definitely returning.
“Amazing Amalfi”
This hotel was all I had hoped for and more. The location is superb and the rooms are great - very spacious and nicely decorated for a four-star. The view from the rooms is amazing - better than any postcard you've seen. I had some trepidation about possible road noise given the reviews written by others, but there is no issue at all - the hotel has fantastic double-glazed windows which cut out all external noise. We travelled with our two young sons and the staff were very accommodating - discrete yet friendly. And the breakfast was superb - a fantastic selection of delicious Italian food as well as cereals, eggs, bacon etc to cater for international visitors. I would return in a flash.
“Great hotel; great location”
Lovely hotel with great views over the bay and a superb breakfast (something different every day). Very close to the beaches, shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Would definitely stay again. Nice personal touches, e.g. paperbacks to borrow, slippers, beach towels, flat screen TV/DVD and so on. A slightly broken curtain-closer was fixed immediately it was reported.
“Great return to Amalfi”
My wife and I returned to Amalfi after 21 years absence, they say never go back! but thanks to the excellent Hotel Marina Reviera our return was fantastic. The staff are very helpful and the views and location of the hotel are spot on for anybody wanting to enjoy Amalfi.
“Amalfi”
Superb location. We did not notice a better situated hotel for staying in Amalfi. The superior rooms with a balcony over looking the beach are well worth the extra money.
“great place to stay”
Really great location in Amalfi- easy walk to and from the main restaurants, sights and transport. Staff very helpful and rooms clean, light and comfortable. Air conditioning standard in room. Breakfast location/view brillieant and food excellent. Would definitely go back.
“Fantastic hotel”
Superb location with fabulous views. Less than 5 mins to beach and main square, but still quiet and peaceful at night. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was great. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and spoke excellent English. Would strongly recommend and didn't see any other hotels in Amalfi that looked any better.

Area:
Amalfi, Italy: A charming cluster of pastel houses, shops, cafés and watchtowers, Amalfi seems little more than a village. However it was a great naval power and a wealthy trading republic in medieval times. Its dramatic setting in jagged cliffs cloaked in vineyards is best seen from a boat. Amalfis star turn is a gorgeous cathedral with great bronze doors and lacy cloisters. The nearby village of Atrani is quiet and pretty, with a fine Byzantine church.
