“Amazing view”
This hotel was great! While it was close to the main street of Amalfi, we felt like we were on our own and had plenty of space. The view is breathtaking! The hotel staff were very pleasant and the room was comfortable.
“Would go back again in an instant”
From the moment we arrived at the Hotel we felt welcomed by the courteous staff. Our room had the most beautiful views that compare favorably to anything we have had the privilege of seeing throughout our years of travel. Our room was very clean and well appointed. We were so drawn to the hotel and how it was situated on the bluff overlooking the sea and the town of Amalfi, we actually changed our travel plans to enjoy some down time resting on the hotels private platforms built into the rocks that descend first to the hotel pool and then down to the rocks from which we could plunge into the Mediterranean. We had excellent meals at the Hotel, with an attentive staff serving our needs. We would recommend the Miramalfi without hesitation, and we hope to return in the future.
“Anyone's absolute dream”
Driving north along the coast from Salerno on a narrow winding ribbon of road for about 45 minutes you enter the coastal hamlet of Amalfi, a beautiful and historic Italian Jewell. Drive uphill approximately a 1/2 mile past Amalfi, along the same road, and you round a bend to find the Hotel on the left, seemingly hanging over the Mediterranean Sea. My wife and I Honeymooned here and all we can say is that "We'll be back next year, somehow". Everything, from the exceptionally gracious, responsive, and polite Hotel Staff, to the lovely restaurant, to the bright, airy rooms, and certainly the scenery, are fit for the most discriminating of tastes. One hardly needs to leave the Hotel since relaxing on the Balcony or the many decks affords Dolphin filled views of the entire Amalfi Coast, beginning with the town, below and to the left, and continuing to the right to distant headlands. Should you be able to rip yourself away from the Hotel, a walk down the hill to Amalfi yields many wonderful new adventures, my favorite being of the culinary persuasion. Hop on to one of the many Ferries and take off to Positano, just up the Coast for more dreamlike wonders. And of course, there are boat trips to Capri, Pompei, Mt. Vesuvius and others. Hotel Miramalfi is certainly one of the Amalfi Coast's treasured Jewels and we highly recommend a stay there.
“very relaxing”
Extremely friendly family run hotel with excellent service throughout. The restaurant offers a spectacular view and the food is desrving of such a grand setting. Not much for children vis a vis facilities eg games room to keep them quiet if weather bad but hotel is perfect for couples.
“Spectacular views, good food”
We stayed here for 3 days in June. In a word, the views from our balcony were "breathtaking". This has to be one of the most beautiful places I have ever been in the world (and I'm on my second passport and need new pages for stamps). From the bed we could look out past the balcony to the mediteranian. If it wasn't for the fall would probably kill me, a leap from the balcony would have put me in the water. The restaurant was excellent with reasonable prices. The prices were not posted at all on the menu so I expected it to be outrageously expensive, but the meal came in a prices lower than most other restaurants in the area and was very good. There is an excellent wine list. The pool is salt water and also has a lovely view. The "private beach" is really a short pool ladder from a large patio into the sea but still it is possilbe to swim directly in the sea, just don't expect sand. The only thing this place is lacking to be a true luxury hotel is decent bedding and updated furniture. The mattresses are a bit old and lumpy and the bedding just so-so.
“Great hotel, much recommended”
Great hotel, friendly staff. The climb from the city to the hotel requires a reasonable physical condition (quite many stairs). Overall, we were very pleased.
“Awesome View”
Awesome view, rooms were clean, fair size, close to town of Amalfi, friendly staff, overall great place to stay, I would stay again in a moment.
“Great view!”
My sister and I stayed at this hotel last week and we had a great stay! The staff was so nice and helpful and the view from the hotel is amazing. Exactly what we were hoping for. The location is quite good as well. It's a steep climb to walk there from the main street so I wouldn't walk there with luggage but it was fine when my sister and I walked to and from the hotel at night. When first arriving, I recommend paying the 10 euro for a taxi even though it's a short ride to the top. Or try to e-mail them ahead of time to get their shuttle schedule.
“Excellent Hotel - Wonderful Experience”
This hotel was amazing - beautiful views, excellent location, great ammenities. Best of all was the very helpful service - the front desk was very kind and always ready to assist in any way. Definitely recommended!
“Best place to stay in Amalfi!”
We had a superior room which had a large balcony with stunning views over the sea and the town of Amalfi. The views are everything you could want. The walk into town was not far (15 mins) and very pleasant before and after dinner although we had to pace ourselves on the long flights of steps to be negotiated (but that is Amalfi for you!) There is parking (15 Euros per day) but it was worth it to have our car whenever we needed it. Recommend you hire a small car for the area. We only ate once in the hotel but it was good and the service fine. We could not recommend this hotel more.

Area:
Amalfi, Italy: A charming cluster of pastel houses, shops, cafés and watchtowers, Amalfi seems little more than a village. However it was a great naval power and a wealthy trading republic in medieval times. Its dramatic setting in jagged cliffs cloaked in vineyards is best seen from a boat. Amalfis star turn is a gorgeous cathedral with great bronze doors and lacy cloisters. The nearby village of Atrani is quiet and pretty, with a fine Byzantine church.
