“Comfortable & relaxing stay.”
Can't fault the staff for their help and friendliness. Room serviced every day with clean linen and towels. Room a big dark as we were in the old part of the building, a converted paper-mill going back to the 15th century. Bar, snacks & restaurant pricy but then that's the norm for Italy. Fantastic location built over the sea.
“Will use it as my hub whenever i visit the Amalfi Coast again”
The hotel is conveiently located right at the SS 163 (the highway connecting all the towns and villages on the coast). Thier daily shuttle to Amalfi town is also good for those wishing to take Boat rides to nearby islands. I really liked the hotel and its rooms' views. We went there for our honeymoon and it was perfect, although they may want to revamp thier breakfast offering a bit; it's quite limited
“A magical position for a hotel”
We arrived in the evening in October, and found the whole place enchanting. A very warm welcome and a late dinner provided with pleasure. To sleep that night to the sound of the sea breaking on the rocks below our room. Charming and utterly professional staff, lots of interesting sights to see nearby, good food and wonderful weather!
“Italian Riviera Heaven”
Just as the photos showed the Marmorata was a haven on the Amalfi coast just below Ravello. We stayed for a week and loved every second of our stay here. The room was small but had every confort but the floor to ceiling window looking out directly on the sea below was more than enough to make up for the size. Waking up to the sound of the sea on the rocks with nothing interrupting the view was fantastic! You definitely dont want to stay here if you have walking difficulties as there are a fair few stairs down to the sea but if you can its worth it to lounge by the sea. The staff even deliver your lunch to your sunbed! No need to leave the sun for a second! The reception team are by far the best i have come across in quite some time!
“Nice hotel, shame about the location!”
Enjoyed a two week stay at Marmorata. Clean, comfortable rooms with lovely views over the bay. Hotel staff were friendly and courteous. Only drawback was on main road with lots of traffic but no pavement. We like to eat out a lot and had to walk to Minori or Maiori or endure taxi fares that rose every time you took a taxi from Amalfi back to the hotel.
“Fabulous views and location to get away from it all.”
This is a very friendly, and wonderfully (nautically) themed hotel (outside) of Ravello. The views are spectacular, a wonderful location for a wedding.
“Hope to return in swimming season.”
A converted retreat between the Mediterranean and the Amalfi Coast Road, the Marmorata Best Western is beautifully appointed in a ship interior motif--portholes and binnacles, mahogany and brass--every room has a sea view. The service was friendly and attentive, dealing with bags and valet parking and shuttles to and from local restaurants, etc., without fuss or extra charges. The pool was not open in mid April and the excellent dining room was closed for two evenings of our stay. The volcanic eruption had caused many cancelations and only a few of the 40 rooms were occupied. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the Marmorata and recommend it heartily.
“Cannot recommend highly enough”
Our stay was truly wonderful, both in terms of the hotel itself and the staff that run it. The location is utterly idyllic (we could almost touch the ocean from our window) and this is complemented by a beautifully decorated and maintained building that used to be a paper mill. The rooms was spacious and catered for all our needs, but the outstanding feature of the hotel was the staff - attentive, gracious and thoroughly enjoyable to be around. We will be returning to Hotel Marmorata very soon indeed...
“very enjoyable, though beds extremely poor.”
Overall very enjoyable stay, food of a good standard and well priced, lovely location.
“fabulous views”
This is a spectacular setting for a hotel BUT it is not in a town or village so any evening outings require a very expensive cab ride (Seemed to be 10 euros a head even for a 1km journey to nearby Amalfi.) Season ends at end of September which was not clear before we went so no acess to pool, sea or even outside for views without asking for gates to be unlocked etc. Nevertheless a very friendly staff and comfortable hotel.

Ravello, Italy: Balcony views are plentiful along this beautiful coast, but little matches Ravellos panoramic seascape. Steps from the main square of Piazza Vescovado lead to the cathedral of San Pantaleone dont miss the fine marble pulpits. Two villas in lovely gardens also deserve a visit. Villa Rufolo holds a summer festival of classical concerts. The belvedere views from the English-style gardens of the Villa Cimbrone are breathtaking.
