“Perfect winter break”
We chose Albufeira for a little winter break and we couldn't have wished for more! We were extremely lucky with the weather - brilliant sunshine and perfect temperatures for the whole week we were there so enjoyed the beach everyday which was only a 15 minute walk from the hotel, but there are plenty of cafes and bar to stop in on the way! As well as the beach the hotel was perfectly situated for you to be able to walk to nice resturants, bars, shops etc. If you didn't want to leave the hotel though you would still be happy as there was everything on site you could need, restaurant, bar, indoor and outdoor pools, shops etc. The staff were really friendly and helpful, our two year old son was also 'looked after' and the hotel overall was child friendly. Our room was more than adequate, good size with good provisions to 'cook' with, it was cleaned and had the towels changed everyday. The hotel even arranged for free transport to the old town which is definetley worth a visit. Overall a lovely little break in the sun - couldn't have asked for more. We would definetley recommend the hotel.
“Excellent hotel, would definately go back”
We were really happy with the hotel and would have no hesitation to stay again, everything from service to the lovel room was above our expectations for the great price we paid for the family room, being their down season the pool was not open but we knew it wouldn't be so not a problem - can only imagine how lovely the whole place would be in summer having enjoyed it over their winter months (still warm enough for anyone though). Great location, easy to get anywhere from shopping to beach. I would recommend using the shuttle bus from the airport into Faro and then catching the local bus to Albuferia - much cheaper than a shuttle direct to airport and also the local bus drops you very close to the hotel - definately recommend.
“A nice place to stay”
My girlfriend & I wanted a nice place to stay at a reasonable price for a week winter break, and that's what we got! Big hotel with friendly staff, nice pools (although didn't use the one outside as it was January!), a decent Friday night buffet dinner with Folk Dance entertainment and decent enough rooms (only comment on this though is that the beds were slightly hard). Only other issue we had was that a large school party stayed for 1 night and were a little disruptive but apart from that very quiet. Would recommend the hotel though to anyone looking for a central location (2 mins to supermarket, 10 mins to beach, 15 mins to old town centre) & good service.
“Pleasantly Surprised!”
Beautiful, large hotel perfectly located for restaurants, shops and a massive tesco like shopping centre. Old town and the strips are in opposite directions but only takes about 5-10 mins in a taxi costing no more than 5 euros. Our self catering apartment was spacious with two balconcies and a well equipped kitchen. Would recommend stay to anyone and would stay there again myself. Faro airport was aprx 35-40 mins by taxi.
“Definitely not a 4*”
Very disappointed in this hotel as we booked it as a 4* rating but would only give it a 3* at most, it is in need of refurbishing. The videos & photos of the hotel must have been taken a number of years ago. We were self catering which was just as well as comments from the "All inclusive" guests were not good, in fact people were eating out. The restaurant on the ground floor was situated right next to the indoor swimming pool & therefore smelled damp all the time. The outside pool was a good size but the grassed area around it was in a poor state. There were not enough parasols to go around & those that were there were very dilapadated & a mismatch. You also had to pay for the use of a mattress for your sunbed. The TV in our room was broken which we reported but this was not fixed during the week we were there. Now the good points - the hotel is in a good location, our apartment was very well equipped for all self catering needs & the cleaners were excellent with towels changed daily. However, we would not recommend this hotel & we will not be returning to this hotel.
“Not a 4 Star!!!!”
The pictures look good but the hotel is no where near as nice in person. We immediately checked out of the hotel and went elsewhere. There are many hotels that are much nicer for the same price and they are within waliking distance to the beach. This hotel is a taxi ride to and from the beach. I would not recommend booking this hotel.

Area:
Albufeira, Portugal: The former little white fishing village of Albufeira, now densely developed beneath a sea of apartments and mid-rise blocks, is the regions most popular resort. The pretty Old Town is wall-to-wall restaurants and bars, though some local establishments and residential areas still remain. Its picture-postcard Fishermans Beach, with spectacular ochre cliffs and rock stacks, remains an iconic, albeit often very crowded, Algarve sight.
