“Very basic hotel with a great location”
The hotel was very basic in every aspect. The pool was nice and the rooms overlooking it were ideal as they had balconies and faced away from the street. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The location was great if you want to have access to both all the shops, bars, and restaurants. Access to the beaches was also very convenient. In terms of the comfort of the room, it is VERY basic. The beds were not the most comfortable and the linens were what I would expect from a hostel. If you want a convenient, centrally located place to stay, I would definitely consider this hotel.
“Da Aldeia - not a place I would recommend”
Hotel was very pleasant if a little shabby.Although air conditioning was in our room it did not work well and the room was always very warm. The biggest problem is if you are given a room at the front of the hotel - bars are open until 4am, then bottles are collected and street cleaning begins at 7am. This happens EVERY night.
“Hotel From Hell.”
Well all my advice is if you don't want to be kept up to 7 am every night then don't stay here. When we arrived we were put at the front of the hotel and on the first night we went to bed about 2 am, only to find that you could still here all the music from your room. Finally after it had all stopped and we thought we might get some sleep, along came the bin men, so we got to sleep about7am. If the next day you go and complain, they charge you to go to another room, which is a bit more quiet. One of our party was put to the other side of the hotel where the room was only really fit for demolition. Also i must add the breakfast was disgusting. We wont be going back.
