“excellent in every way”
New hotel, fantastic service, exceptional facilities. well recommended. Quiet.
“A relaxing week in the sun”
This hotel was superb. Check in was excellent, managed to get an early check in which was really useful as the flight we got was a 6:15am flight. The room was really good, very clean and tidy and loved the bathroom arrangement and fittings. Nice balcony, we were in the left hand wing of the hotel as you approach the front entrance which meant that the balcony got the evening sun, ideal for chilling out and relaxing after a tough day at the pool. This is a predominantly family hotel by the looks of things but a great feature is the adult only pool which is peaceful throughout the day and a great little sun trap. Breakfast was amazing, buffet with everything you can imagine. Get down there earlier though as appears to get pretty busy around 10am ish onwards, which can mean a bit of a wait for a table or your eggs (chef cooks them to order). Shuttle bus to beach useful, evey 30 mins 9:30am to 6pm (although no service 12-2 midday). Shuttle to town in the evening dropping off right at the marina 7pm-9pm. Larger bus than the beach shuttle which helps. Doesn't bring you back but 4-5 euros for a taxi doesn't break the bank. Location is great, quiet and peaceful. Imagine anything nearer the marina could be fairly noisy! Good bar down at the beach to. Food in the restaurants was good although quite pricey but to be expected if you aren't going to get out down to the marina. Very very impressed would go back again in a heartbeat.
“Hilton fab, less impressed with Vilamoura”
The Hilton Vilamoura is a lovely hotel. Rooms were comfortable, food excellent and service superb. The hotel has lovely pool areas, with towels provided and a good 24hr gym. I did not use the spa as it seemed very expensive. My only negative comment is that the bar drinks are extremely expensive (example 3.50E for a small coke!)
“Relaxing retreat”
I wanted somewhere quiet and relaxing to celebrate my partners 40th birthday where we would feel special and could just kick back and do nothing. From the moment we checked in, we were made to feel special. The room was huge with a large balcony. The bath was enormous and had the added feature of being behind a cutain which when pulled back meant that you could relax in the bath whilst looking out at the views from the balcony. Mini bar was quite well stocked but very expensive. We found a supermarket about 10-15 minutes walk away which we used to buy nibbles and wine. The grounds and pool area of the hotel were beautiful although as it was only March many of the features around the pool such as the waterfalls were not working. As with any 5 star hotel the prices in the bar and restaurant were not the cheapest although on our first night we went for the buffet dinner which was amazing value and the food was of a very high standard. I am a vegetarian and was told that they would prepare me something as the main dishes were not surprisingly meat and fish. The breakfast was incredible with the usual breakfast items as well as pancakes and a chef on hand to cook omeletes and eggs just the way you like them Between 7.00pm-9.00pm the hotel ran a complimentary shuttle service to the marina area where you can get good food and drinks which we used most evenings. The staff were attentive, helpful and extremely approachable. Great hotel, great staff. Would definately recommend.
“Just Superb!”
Fantastic hotel. Clean, mega comfortable and a true 5 star hotel. Pools are beautiful and the staff are very attentive. The food in the restaurants is first class and you can survive all day on the fantatstic breakfasts. We wer there in April '09 - a little out of season but the weather was lovely. We found the food prices in the Marina were comparable with the UK but were of better quality for the price. Well worth paying for. Dont worry about the price of this hotel, just book it!

“Enjoyed every moment!”
We spent a romantic holiday at this hotel and it was a perfect place to relax and unwind. I wanted a hotel where I would not have to leave and could spend the entire time using the hotels amenities. The room was very comfortable, the separate walk-in shower and over sized tub was an added bonus. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and greeted us by name after the first day. We used the hotels restaurants, room service and lounge for all our eating purposes. The cocktails were excellent and the food was very good! The hotel has a wonderful spa attached to it. We spent several hours in the thermal pools, steam rooms and saunas. The hotel seemed to be child/family friendly, although I believe the spa has an age limit. The outside courtyard boasts six heated swimming pools with multiple waterfalls, though we could not use the pools as the pumps were undergoing maintenance during our stay. There are adult only pools and separate children pools with a shallow area for wee-ones. Be sure to call before you leave to ask if the outside pools are working if you plan to use them during your stay. I will be staying here again!

“Perfect family hotel”
I cannot praise this hotel enough, the service is excellent, friendly and attentive. The maintenance and cleanliness was first class. Our rate included the breakfast which is very varied and good quality. We also had the buffet dinner on Portugese night which was fab, the shellfish "show cooking" was a winner. Bar prices in the hotel were, as you would expect, not cheap but this is true of any decent hotel. It was reassuring to see the hotel was used by Potugese families, locals generally know best! The hotel was very geared towards families, we were travelling as a couple this year but as expectant parents we've already got plans to return with the nipper. And as an expectant mother the staff were especially helpful and considerate towards me, but then that seems to be the Portgese way, family and children are top priority!

Fantastic 5 day stay, staff very, helpful, friendly, they couldn't do enough for us. Room was beautiful, very clean and spacious. Pool area was fantastic - a beautiful weekend we will definetly return! A fabulous hotel for all.
