“Lovely Break”
We needed a cheap week away and when we found this deal we were not expecting the hotel to be great, but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and had a great view of the ocean. We had a problem with one of the bathroom taps and it was fixed as soon as we told them. It is only a 15 min walk into Lagos which is great for restaurants.
“Good place to go”
The hotel was very clean and well maintained. We had all the facilities that we required. The staff were polite, the location is great and we really enjoyed being next to the sea and within easy walking distabce of the Marina at Lagos. Only gripe was the beds they were a bit creaky and uncomfortable.
“Very pleasant to stay in”
Although the hotel rooms require some updating over all it was clean & comfortable. The staff we had at the desk during most of our stay were very friendly and extremely obliging.Grounds & lobby were very well maintained.Right across the road from the beach too!!!We would stay there again.
“Basic but clean”
Was a great base for exploring the Algarve, basic but clean. Having a car is a good option as it's quite a walk to the supermarket. Great location across from a beautiful beach.
“Nice Hotel, But”
Did'nt arrive at hotel till very late. The driver dropped us off at the reception area. However everywhere was in darkness.Another couple had been driving around for an hour looking for the hotel. There are are no signs that says, "Dom Pedro Hotel".We discovered a door that was open and went through.I went down a flight of stairs, where I discovered the main reception area (A sign would have been useful(Reception Area downstairs)Once all the formalities had been done, we made our way to our room on the 2nd floor. Somewhat disappointed with the apartment, very clean but in need of new kitchen units, furniture and beds which were very hard and uncomfortable. There was no kettle in the apartment. I did complain about this twice. The staff said that none of the apartments have Kettles. You must use a saucepan.Given health and safty, make sure you bring your own kettle.A rail service runs directly in front of your apartment if you have a sea view.On a postive note,I found the hotel staff to be extreamly helpful and the cleaners were great. The seaview from the apartment was excellent. How I miss that view.
“Great Location, Staff need a lesson in hospitality, beds terrible!”
Great Location opposite beach and about 15 minute walk into Lagos! We had a car which was great as road not to safe to walk on in dark! Beds so uncomfortable, we slept on couch in lounge!! Staff could do with a lesson in hospitality! I think we had one smile in 4 days! Not very welcoming or friendly on arrival! Average hotel, clean rooms, if you can cope with beds! Pool nice and quiet and it was peak season. Overall ok, although could be better!
“Expedia staff were exceptional especially when Easyjet had canceeled flight!”
The hotel was clean and the staff extremely accomadating. A shame the weather was so cold, so rooms were cold too, though there were heaters in the room it just didn't make much difference. The sea views were certainly there.Only wish there was a microwave in kitchen. Thank you Expedia and staff at Dom Pedro!!!
“Wouldn't want to spend a fortnights holiday here”
This hotel provided us with a bed for our two night stay. The accomodation itself was perfectly clean. We were surprised to find there was no kettle provided. We did not use any of the hotel facilities therefore couldn't comment on them. The price paid was reasonable for the standard provided. Not somewhere we would choose to spend for a fortnights holiday. The hotel had a slighty 1960's look and in need of upgrading.
“not a good place to stay out of season”
A lovely view of the beach from the balcony. On sunny days it's not a bad place to stay but in November when we went, although there was some heating in the lounge, it was pretty cold in the bedroom and in the bathroom. Not enough light in the lounge to read a book. Before paying for a superior room check what this actually is and that you actually get it. It was quite good value for money, but it might be best to pay a bit more elsewhere.
