“great place”

the hotel has a great location, its only 5 min to the beach and about 10 min to bars, pubs, restaurants etc. staff really nice and friendly. great place for a holiday

“Definately would recommend!!”

I had a really amazing holiday in albufeira...that was due to the hotel as well as the locaation. I was a bit worried when i read some of the reviews on expedia about Auramar but when i got there i had no regrets. I had room with an amazing sea view, also the hotel was in a good location for me and my partner. It is 5mins from the beach and a good distance from the "the strip" very peaceful. The strip was not as bad as i expected, a variety of good restaurants. However if your not looking for the usual British variety of bars i would definately recommend the old town. It was so beautiful and made us really feel like we were in another country (try the restaurant Tasca). Overall hotel was brilliant but the breakfast wasn't too impressive, we were happy we only had breakfast there; as you really miss out on the country's culture with the limited menu. Lastly if you're planning to go to the old town taxi's are a nightmare so many people not enough taxi's; so expect a long walk back!!

“Great Relaxing Time”

A great experience was had, the room was spacious and clean, the staff were polite and the weather was great (o.k. nothing to do with the hotel per say but it added to the experience). The all-inclusive is good for those who dont want to have to think about where to get food or having to carry money about with you. All the meals tasted good, with a lot of choice for all, especially liked the fact you could go back during breakfast and tea for more foods if you wanted. Snack bar always had something for everyone. If i had a gripe it would be the size of the glasses when ordering a beer, 29ml just aint enough!! Still the beer was free. Entertainment was cheesy but passed the evenings well. Overall i recommend this hotel.

“best weekend break, so good we went twice!”

The staff at the Auramar were extremely helpful with everything i asked for - it was my partners birthday and the whole weekend was a surprise for him. The staff helped me make it even more special by helping with my requests. The hotel could do with some updating compared to english hotels. But the location, views and friendly staff more than make up for all of that!! Would recommend it to anyone - beautiful place :)

“One of the best in Albufeira”

The Auramar hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in. The staff were very helpful. They could not do enough for you. My wife was also very impressed. They provide a free bus service to the old town. Well worth using or you can walk along the beach to get there. we use both. the excursions they offered were great. We visited Lisbon, Quarteira and Gibraltar. each trip is accompanied with a very knowledgeable guide. Superb holiday. We were so impressed we are giving the Auramar beach Hotel a 5*.

“Nice”

The hotel is well placed... Right next to the beach in-fact. The staff were very pleasant and were always happy to help with any problems I had or questions about various things. The hotel itself was set around several main buildings, but they seemed to be well linked and I had no problems finding my way around.

The rooms were clean & tidy. Breakfast good value for money. Plenty of sunbeds around pool. Excellent views from balcony. Restaurants & bars within easy walking distance. We enjoyed our stay & would recommend to others.

this was are second visit to this hotel and where going back again next year.the hotel itself is well maintained,and has its own entrance to the glorious beach,and is in a prime location for all ameneties.we would recomend this hotel to anyone thinking of going to the algarve.

This hotel is by no means luxurious. It will not cater to all your needs. If you're looking for an all inclusive hotel with a variety of amenities, huge range of entertainment and variety of meal options, look elsewhere. However if like us, you are looking for a good base on which to explore the area, willing to eat out and agile enough to take on the awe inspiring rocky coastline, then you'll appreciate the hotel; perfect for that late afternoon tipple by the stunning pool overlooking the splendid view of the ocean.
