“Great Arlie Beach Stop Over for a Night”
The hotel was perfect for our 1 night stay. We drove in late at night prior to our 2 night sailing excursion. The hotel staff left our keys in a safe so we were able to check in any time. The grounds were well kept and looked very resort like, especially the tropical looking pool area. The room was clean enough with air con & a fan. My only complaint would be the quality of the mattresses. They were very springy, thin and not entirely comfortable. Everything else was just fine for our stop through stay. I probably wouldn't recommend using this hotel as a base for a holiday (i.e. 3-7 day holiday) but is perfect for a 1 or 2 night stay over on the way to other locations.
“Clean Rooms + Family Friendly”
This hotel was nice. It was 5 minutes away from the main town. The bus went directly by the hotel and went directly to the town. The pool was very unique and nice to swim in. The rooms were outdated but very clean. We had no problems checking in or out. The staff was nice and helpful.
“Great Budget Destination for Kids”
Unfortunately I became ill whilst staying at hotel, the cause of which was not hotel's fault. I really needed my room to be serviced early so as I could rest appropriately. This was not done (on any day) until mid-afternoon, even though I had hung the sign to do so on my door. I thought that was pretty poor. I will admit I could have rung and asked them to it. My room was at the front of the hotel on the top floor which was very noisy with early morning traffic (buses most particularly). Also there are flashing lights strung along edge of balcony which intrude at night. Breakfast was nice and completely adequate. The Resort Shop staff were particularly pleasant and helpful, as was Reception. The Resort has a very nice pool/spa/bar area. It also has nightly entertainment which is enjoyable. Generally, Club Crocodile is a good place with budget rates and relaxed attitude toward kids. I would highly recommend it for families. Maybe not so much for honeymoon couples or executives.
“needs cleaning”
Could be a bit cleaner, and some maintinence is required, painting etc
“Don't always beleive the Brochures”
Hotel would have been excellent if facilities were open. Ie. No restaraunt or bar were available except Fri/Sat. and a good walk to the nearest, or a bus ride to town. 35 minutes walk away. Staff were excellent but highly overworked at weekends.
“Hotel from Hell”
We booked this hotel as on the site looked great as a 1 night stay before we cruised the barrier reef islands. What a massive disappointment, the whole place is dirty the rooms were very damp including the linen the bed covers looked like they had not been laundered for years. The prices of food and drinks were at the level of a 5 star hotel and i feel this property should be totally rechecked for it's star rating. There are many other good properties in Airlie Beach and we will certainly NEVER stay at this place again.
