We picked this hotel as being near the airport, a free shuttle, having a restaurant and an outdoor pool. Having left a cruise ship we knew we would get there by 10 am so wanted the pool before getting our room at 2. The very kind receptionist let us have our room early so we were in at 11 and around the pool soon after. Although an outdoor pool (on the roof) it was covered by an enormous canopy which made it a bit stifling, although there is also a sunbathing area a few steps away. We shared an ok pizza for dinner at a reasonable £11. I don’t think there is anywhere to go locally as it is so near the airport, although you do not hear the planes at all. Lots of coffee, tea and milk in the room. The shuttle the next day was every half an hour and gets BUSY!!! It isn’t a particularly large bus and gets full very quickly. Get downstairs 1/4 hour before the time you want one. The price the hotel wanted for a room was exactly double what we paid with Expedia, so we got a bargain. Thank you.
