“Great location and facilities”

Certainly 4 star. Excellent central location and pool. I told them my major concern was failure to include breakfast buffet in the nightly rate. Is an expensive extra but plenty of cheaper eating places nearby for breakfast and other meals.Staff friendly .Room safe is free,5 minute walk to the corniche.Spotlessly clean.

“US expat will stay again”

Excellent Crowne Plaza property (I've stayed in many). Very good Club level (3 floors). Excellent variety of restaurants, bars and activities. Extremely friendly and accomodating staff. Centrally located, but Abu Dhabi is not quite the "modern" city that is Dubai. Be sure to do Ferarri World and the F1 track at Yas Island. While not located on Yas Island, I understand they will be offering transportation to the races if you stay there in November.

“5th Star Earned for Service”

The best asset of this hotel is the 5 star customer service. The rooms have been remodeled and did not feel outdated as earlier posts implied. The lobby was still undergoing renovation in March 2011. There is an "anything, anytime" button on the phone which worked nicely both times I pressed it. You can choose from five different pillows, including Cherrystone, Vitamin E, and one that is heated up.

Area recommendations

The grand mosque at the other end of town will Wow you with sheer grandeur and magnificant opulence including the world's largest chandeliers and Persian carpet.

When to go

March is warm and pleasant.

Getting around

There's a double decker open air tour bus that takes in all the major sights. If you have a day or two to spare hop in a cab and head to Dubai(90 minutes) and check out the world's largest building and the indoor ski slope.

Shopping

Catch glimpses of the shieks and their wives lounging at the Marina Mall.

Dining

Have a chocolate milkshake sprinkled with gold at the Emirates Palace Hotel and checkout the gold-plated ATM in the lobby.

Outdoors or beach

Most of the Corniche fronting beach is undergoing massive redevelopment but the family beach is still open.

“Nice`n easy”

Very friendly staff and good location. Restaurants in the hotel were great! Hotel was showing some aging but renovating was going on. Rooms were spacious and quiet. Very good value for money!

Excellent room. It was pristine. The staff was good, the services were excellent, the pool was fantastic. The location is central to everything. Definitely recommended for family.

“warm, efficient service”

The service and warm welcome receptions we received at the hotel made our stay pleasant. The facility is well maintained, and the accomodations comfortable. The entrance to the "rear" of this older hotel does not reflect the fine quality offered inside. We would recommend it for a stay in Abu Dhabi at a price higher than moderate, but far less than some newer options.

I bookedthis hotel on special offer. tepricewasvery goodcomparing with other hotels in Abu Dahabi. As we arrived early we were allowed to checkin early. Reception staff were nice andfriendly. Room was speacious and bed was confertable king size. Hotel location was quite central to shopping centre and gold market.
