"From the moment we arrived Roberta made us so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and after the welcome drink we were shown our amazing room with views on every side. We were looking directly at Vesuvius and the city from one window and the beautiful hills behind. "We loved this beautiful hotel with a 1920’s vibe. Our beautiful room had a balcony with stunning views of the mountains to the west, including Mt. Vesuvius. Behind the hotel was a beautiful garden with orange and lemon trees, exotic flowers, and cactus plants. The lobby and bar areas were beautifully appointed and had ornate, colored glass chandeliers. Our favorite area was the classy rooftop bar which was staffed with white-tuxedoed servers and bartenders who delivered wonderful service. Stunning sunset views added a special touch to the experience."

"Beautiful room and hotel. The housekeeping and breakfast waitstaff was very attentive and had great service. We did tip the breakfast staff and housekeeping daily. On checkout day, the front desk asked for a tip for the staff, which was quite bold. We explained we tipped the staff everyday. The hotel does not provide any lotion in the rooms. Also, I sent two messages to the hotel asking if they found golf shirts that my husband may have left in the room. They have not responded."

"the front desk was very helpful but our key did not work and the second key also did not work, the room we initially were assigned was on a floor that had not been renovated and it was very musty with stains all over the carpet. We were with friends who also had a unrenovated room that was awful. After our key did not work we were moved to a renovated room with tile floors and a much cleaner, no musty feel. The bottom line is do ot stay here unless you reserve a renovated room!. The location is close to the airport and the front desl staff were very nice and helpful."

"My husband and I stayed four nights here in a standard room. Some of the pros were the view, free breakfast, and the pool. However, the bed was very uncomfortable which made it very hard to sleep, the walls in the hotel room are so thin you can hear every conversation your neighbors are having, we heard someone phone alarm go off every day at 7am, the free shuttle was nice if you booked early otherwise the time slots fill up fast and the time slots are very limited, one time slot we pre booked for when we went outside to get on the shuttle they allowed guests who didn’t have a reservation on, leaving my husband and I to squeeze into one seat which felt very unsafe especially how dangerous the roads are and when we asked the staff about it there got annoyed and said you are just going to have to squeeze in this time. The restaurant and food at the hotel was very expensive, 14 euro for a canned beer from the fridge inside the hotel room and if you order room service they charge you 20 euro fee. If I went back to Amalfi I would stay some place else, this wasn’t worth the money."
