What you can expect

  • Start your adventure with a convenient hotel pickup and head to Stone Town’s waterfront, where your boat awaits. Enjoy a scenic ride across the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean as you make your way to Prison Island (Changuu), a historic site just off Zanzibar’s coast.

    Upon arrival, step back in time as you explore the island’s fascinating history as a former prison and quarantine station. The highlight of your visit is meeting the giant Aldabra tortoises, some over 150 years old. Take memorable photos, feed the tortoises, and learn about their incredible conservation storey.
