      What you can expect

      Pickup and Introduction
Tour begins with a comfortable pick-up from the hotel, airport, or railway station in Trichy. A professional English-speaking guide welcomes guests and provides an overview of the day’s journey before departure.

      Explore Gangaikondacholapuram
Your first stop is Gangaikondacholapuram, known for its impressive Brihadeeswarar Temple, built in the 10th century by the Chola dynasty. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple is one of India’s largest and showcases grand Dravidian architecture. Its Nandi idol is sculpted in such a way that sunlight reflects onto the sanctum, displaying architectural brilliance.

      Discover Darasuram
The journey continues to Darasuram, a town famous for the Airavateswara Temple, constructed in the 12th century by Rajaraja Chola II. The temple features detailed stone carvings and elegant pillars, reflecting its historical and spiritual importance. A visit is also made to the nearby silk weaving village, where traditional weaving of beautiful silk sarees continues as a family heritage craft.

      Visit Kumbakonam
Next is Kumbakonam, often called the Temple City due to its many ancient temples. The visit includes the Adi Kumbeswarar Temple, the oldest Shiva temple here, and the Sarangapani Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The sacred Mahamaham tank, a major landmark where grand festivals take place, is also part of this exploration.

      Experience Thanjavur (Tanjore)
Then proceeds to Thanjavur, where the famous Brihadeeswarar Temple, also known as the Big Temple, stands as a masterpiece of Dravidian architecture with its towering gopuram, spacious mandapa, and fine stone sculptures. The visit continues to The Raja Museum and Art Gallery, which houses an impressive collection of Chola bronze and granite sculptures, ancient artefacts, and traditional paintings.

      Return to Trichy
After a fulfilling day exploring the temples, culture, and heritage of Tamil Nadu, guests are comfortably driven back to Trichy, marking the end of this enriching private tour.
