The charming neighbourhood, where workers used to live and which was also called “Katzenloch” because of the small flats, is now a lively neighbourhood with nice cafés, individual shops, bars, cabarets, galleries and a lot of “Kiez feeling”. It's a special neighbourhood that its residents fought hard for, especially in the 1960s: When plans for large-scale demolition became known, there were massive protests and political disputes - and subsequently a cautious redevelopment. Together we discover the streets and squares with French charm, the beautiful Bergkirche that gives the neighbourhood its name, atmospheric backyards and trendy eateries.
The tour includes different tasting stops.
