What you can expect

Soak up the sun at Australia's most photographed beach—Whitehaven. Cruise to beautiful Whitsunday Island, and spend a half-day walking along the dazzling white silica sand, swimming in the balmy waters of the Coral Sea, and taking in the spectacular scenery.

The tropical panorama of the Whitsunday Islands National Park opens up before you as you sail over the waves towards Whitehaven Beach. Pass by rugged Pentecost Island as you enter the azure stretch of Solway Passage. This archipelago of 74 islands is famed for its iridescent blue waters and pristine beaches, and Whitehaven is its most iconic. Stretching along 4.5 miles (7 km) of Whitsunday Island's shoreline, Whitehaven is a beach lover's paradise.

Feel the superfine sand between your toes as you stroll the beach, or head into the palms along the shore for a bushwalk to a scenic outlook. Fresh snacks, sandwiches, soft drinks, beer, and wine are available to purchase, so you can picnic in the shade of a palm tree if you'd like. You can swim or snorkel in the luminous blue waters, or just kick back under a beach umbrella with a drink and soak up the tropical splendour before boarding your return cruise.
