What you can expect
Tie on your apron for a hands-on cooking class that introduces you to classic French cooking techniques and some of the country's most decadent dishes. Hone your skills as you work to prepare elegant soufflés and turn perfect vegetables, and then sit down to savour your meal with a glass of wine.
Arrive at the cooking school and step inside a beautifully appointed kitchen worthy of a top restaurant or cooking show. Get acquainted with your chef, and then jump into a fun and entertaining mix of cooking demonstrations and hands-on culinary work. Learn the time-honoured techniques used to whip up smoothly emulsified sauces, tender meat, and airy pastries as you build on the basics to put together a refined French meal.
Make an elegant crab soufflé with a rich blue cheese sauce, and braise beef in red Burgundy wine to coax out the hearty flavours of boeuf bourgignon. Focus on the details as you practise your knife skills and learn to shape neatly turned vegetables, mix butter and cream into mashed potatoes to achieve the perfect texture, and craft a sensational dessert of chocolate fondant with white chocolate mousse, orange segments, and Grand Marnier sauce. Once all of your dishes are out of the oven, gather around the table with a glass of wine to taste test the plates you've prepared.
