You’ll meet your grandma or grandpa instructor at a brand-new baking studio on Mariahilferstraße, Vienna’s main shopping street. Our open loft space with a charming studio kitchen is the perfect place to roll up your sleeves and practice your baking skills.

Your lesson will feature a classic Viennese treat, using your host’s own personal recipe. You could make an Apfelstrudel, a sweet flaky pastry filled with delicious baked apples, or maybe a traditional Austrian buchteln — sweet yeast buns filled with delicious plum jam.
You’ll also get to enjoy a glass of eggnog as you bake.

Chat with your host and learn their personal storey, like where they learned to bake, what this recipe means to them, and what they love about living in Vienna.

After you’ve finished your class, our seniors will take care of all the clean-up for you. You’ll get to take your masterpiece home with you, packed up safely in a cake box. No previous baking or cooking experience is needed. Your hosts will explain everything slowly and with plenty of detail, so you can focus on enjoying the treats!
