Treat yourself to a beauty experience combining art and nature. In the centre of Valdobbiadene, you’ll find the Parco della Filandetta, a former silk factory now transformed into an industrial archaeology site, restored by the Bortolomiol family. Inside, there’s a winemaking cellar, a park with an acre of vineyards, and a tasting room.
The programme:
• We’ll start with a guided tour of the winemaking cellar to discover how the Glera grapes from the UNESCO World Heritage hills become Prosecco Superiore DOCG.
• We’ll tell you the storey of the founder, Giuliano Bortolomiol, the pioneer who, back in the 1950s, bet everything on Prosecco Brut when no one was making it yet: a visionary who forever changed the way people think about Italian sparkling wine and contributed to its success.
• We’ll sit outdoors to taste two glasses of Prosecco Superiore DOCG, chosen to show you two different expressions of the territory. The wine will be paired with a food pairing featuring local products.
