The tour begins at the MAT - Anthropological Museum, where you will get in touch with the local farming culture through an immersive and interactive tour, up to the discovery of cave caves and ancient agricultural practices, such as the harvesting of herbs.
The heart of the experience is the cooking class on forgotten recipes, an immersive culinary workshop that will take you to knead, savour and rediscover authentic flavours of Sicilian tradition. Together with the museum team, you will cook historic dishes using local ingredients, told through anecdotes and ancient customs.
A few minutes away from the museum-you must be self-drive-you'll visit the Amari Nepeta Company, where herbs such as nepitella, thyme, and marjoram become the stars of fine artisanal bitters. You will discover each stage of the production process, taste their variants and learn about their properties. A true immersion among scents, nature and flavours that tell of the most authentic Sicily.
