What you can expect

Embark on an unforgettable four-day adventure through Australia's iconic Red Centre, where you will explore Uluru, Kings Canyon, Kata Tjuta, and the West MacDonnell Ranges. This guided tour takes you deep into Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, offering some of the world’s most awe-inspiring natural landscapes. Along the way, you’ll witness ancient rock formations, learn about Aboriginal culture, and encounter unique wildlife.

Day 1: Yulara or Ayers Rock Airport to Uluru
The adventure begins with a pickup from Ayers Rock Airport or Yulara, followed by a drive into Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. After visiting the Cultural Centre, you’ll circle the base of Uluru, visit the sacred Mutitjulu Waterhole, and view Aboriginal rock art. You’ll also explore Kantju Gorge, home to the tallest waterfall in Central Australia, before watching the sun set over Uluru. A delicious dinner marks the end of a memorable first day.

Day 2: Uluru to Kata Tjuta to Kings Canyon
Start your day early with a sunrise over Uluru before heading to Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). Here, you’ll embark on the Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge hike, marvelling at the dramatic rock formations. After lunch, we make our way to the Kings Canyon area, stopping briefly at Mount Connor for a scenic view. Tonight, you’ll camp at an exclusive site on the Wanmarra community lands, with an unforgettable evening of stargazing and a campfire feast.

Day 3: Kings Canyon to West MacDonnell Ranges
Rise early for a hike through Kings Canyon, one of the most spectacular landscapes in the Outback. You’ll explore its towering cliffs and sandstone chasms, with an option to do the famous rim walk. Afterwards, we’ll travel through the remote Mereenie Loop Drive or Ernest Giles Road on our way to the West MacDonnell Ranges. The evening is spent at a private campsite, perfect for stargazing.

Day 4: Tjoritja West MacDonnell Ranges to Alice Springs
On your final day, explore Ormiston Gorge’s towering red cliffs, then cool off at Ellery Creek Big Hole, a refreshing waterhole surrounded by dramatic scenery. Continuing, you’ll visit Standley Chasm, a stunning gorge, and finish with a stop at Simpsons Gap, a significant cultural site. Afterwards, we return to Alice Springs in the evening, where you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation, concluding your unforgettable Outback adventure.
