Aboa Vetus Ars Nova is a museum of archaeology and contemporary art located on the picturesque riverside of Finland's oldest city, Turku.
Aboa Vetus is the only archaeological museum in Finland. In Aboa Vetus, you can explore a town quarter discovered underground. You can wander through the basements of medieval stone houses, admire authentic ruins in their original location, marvel at historical artefacts, and walk along the Convent Riverfront, one of medieval Turku’s high streets that still runs through the museum area today.
Ars Nova is museum of contemporary art. Ars Nova's changing exhibitions highlight current artists and phenomenon, as well as present the museum's impressive art collection that comprises more than 600 works from artists including Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Anish Kapoor and Niki de Saint Phalle.
