Day 1: Leaving the Noise Behind
Get picked up from your hotel in Tunis, Hammamet, Sousse, or Nabeul. As you travel south, the landscape gradually changes, and so does your rhythm. After a stop in Matmata for a traditional lunch, continue towards the Sahara.
At the edge of the dunes, meet your nomadic guide. Your phone becomes useless here, and that’s exactly the point. Begin a slow 2-hour walk through the dunes. No music. No notifications. Just the sound of the wind and your footsteps on the sand.
At sunset, reach your first bivouac. Silence becomes real. Your guide prepares dinner over a wood fire, including traditional sand bread. Sit around the fire, not scrolling, simply being present. Night falls. A sky full of stars replaces every screen you’ve ever looked at. Sleep under the stars or in a tent, in complete disconnection.
Day 2: The Reset (Deep Desert Immersion)
Wake up naturally. No alarm. No urgency. Have breakfast in total silence, surrounded by endless dunes. This day is the heart of your dopamine detox: no constant stimulation, no artificial entertainment, and no interruptions.
Walk slowly, explore nearby dunes, or simply sit and observe. Your mind begins to slow down, then to clear. Have lunch in the desert. The afternoon is intentionally empty because this is where the reset happens. Stay at the same bivouac and deepen the stillness, or move to a new location and continue your journey through the dunes.
As the sun sets again, something changes. Feel calmer, more present, and more grounded. Enjoy another dinner by the fire and another night under infinite stars. This time, the silence feels natural.
Day 3: Return, but Different
Have breakfast in the desert. Take a gentle walk back to the camp, slowly reconnecting with movement. Shower and take a short rest at Camp Dunes Insolites. On the way back, pass the stunning Chott El Jerid, then visit the beautiful mountain oases of Chebika and Tamerza. Have lunch during the visit. Return to your hotel in the evening with a calmer mind, a lighter feeling, and a true sense of reset.
