After a welcome and introduction, adjust your bikes if necessary. Get appropriate bike helmets and backpacks and learn about the safety rules while riding and the content of the programme.
Ride on local, low-traffic roads to Klanjec, where you can see the gallery of Antun Augustinčić, the sarcophagi of the Erdedy family in the Franciscan monastery, and the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Continue through vineyards and groves along two chapels, St. Florian and St. Filip and Jakov. Along with the ruins of the New Klanječki Palace and the villages along the Sutla River, through the towns of Luka and Žeinci, you can drive to Veliko Trgovišće, and take a look at the birthplace and Memorial School of the first Croatian president Dr. Franjo Tuđman.
Drive through the nearby villages, which abound in beautiful scenes of rural idyll, untouched nature, and traditional architecture, and arrive at the place of departure, Tuheljske Toplice. End the experience with a tour of the Mihanović Castle.
In all the places where you will stop, hear a storey so that you can get to know the history, culture, nature, and way of life of the good and hospitable inhabitants of Hrvatski Zagorje.
Appropriate footwear is required for the programme - sports shoes. It is physically demanding and technically undemanding, lasting up to 5 hours. The distance is 38 km (32 km asphalt and 6 km macadam) with a total ascent of 390 m.
