Do it all in an afternoon on a unique tour in Tsukiji exploring Japan's food and sake culture. Learn to pray like a local at Tsukiji Hongwanji Temple, discover interesting food at Tsukiji Outer Market, then finish off with an extensive sake tasting experience at a local salon.
Meet your local guide in front of Tsukiji Hongwanji Temple before entering the temple to learn how to pray. Begin your walking tour as you head to Tsukiji Outer Market. Discover interesting stores inside the market with guidance from your local food expert, and choose to buy some local produce to try for yourself.
After touring the market, move on to a private salon for a fun sake-tasting experience in Tsukiji. Find your favourite as you sample different sakes from around Japan and its many breweries.
Your sake expert will share their knowledge about the brewery, history, and storey of each bottle before sampling. Just like wine and beer, not all sake tastes the same and with 50 to 60 different types on offer, you can experience a wide range of flavours.
Your sake-tasting experience includes unlimited tastings. There are snacks available during the tasting session, to enhance the flavour of the different sakes. You'll also try the brewed drink at different temperatures and taste how the flavour changes. For kids, soft drinks and tea and snacks will be provided.
The tour ends at Tsukiji sake salon, only a few minutes away from either Tsukiji station or Shintomicho station.
