What you can expect

Leave the buzz of Queenstown behind and soak in the alpine surroundings that this region is so famous for with a scenic cruise aboard an authentic, vintage steam vessel.

As the only coal-fired passenger-carrying ship left in the Southern Hemisphere, the TSS Earnslawis packed with history and legacy. Leaving the shores of Queenstown, you will head across the lake, with breathtaking views of the Remarkables mountain range and Cecil Peak, to Walter Peak High Country Farm. Sit back, relax, and admire the dramatic landscapes of snow-capped peaks, verdant hillsides, and rugged cliffs.

Having been built over 100 years ago and launched in the same year as the Titanic in 1912, the vessel you'll be boarding is a valuable piece of history. Visit the on-board museum for an insight into its past and to see the working engines in action in the steam room.

As you're serenaded by the ship's pianist feel yourself transported back in time on a delightful cruise across Queenstown's famous lake.
