The adventure begins with transport from Pasto to the municipality of Cumbal, passing through Andean landscapes, mountains, and traditional villages in southern Nariño. Upon arrival, you'll have time to rest and prepare for the high-mountain experience before the nighttime ascent. In the early morning, we'll start the trek with the Colombian Sherpa and expert local guides, who will accompany the entire expedition to the Cumbal Volcano, one of the most impressive mountains in southern Colombia at 4,764 metres above sea level. During the hike, you'll cover approximately 17 kilometres along moorland trails, volcanic areas, and unique natural landscapes. As you ascend, you'll enjoy panoramic views of nearby lagoons, mountains, and volcanoes while experiencing the clean air and energy of the high mountains. This experience combines adventure, trekking, and connection with nature in one of the most spectacular settings in Nariño. At the end of the descent, we'll return to the town of Cumbal to enjoy a traditional lunch before heading back to the city of Pasto.
