What you can expect

Start your day with a visit to the Castle of Agia Mavra, one of the most impressive medieval buildings in Greece. Learn about its history and how it was built around 1300 by the Lombard lord Ioanni Orsini when he got the island of Lefkas as a wedding gift.

Next, visit the Monastery of Panagia Faneromeny, a serene and peaceful place with a beautiful monastery with a cosy inner yard full of flowers, a small zoo, and breathtaking views of Agios Ioannis beach, the windmills, and Lefkada city.

After this, head to Karya village, a picturesque mountainous village on a height of 500 metres. Visit the local folklore museum (optional) to see the old ways of living. Enjoy a tasty Greek meal and delicious dessert in a local tavern and patisserie.
