You'll begin with a walk through the Durrës fresh market to see unique produce and learn how locals shop for groceries. Then, you'll walk about 7 minutes to our cooking studio, which is directly behind the Durrës bus terminal. There you'll pick out your favourite colour cooking apron and get to work making 3-4 seasonal traditional Albanian dishes from Chef Erti. Examples of some of the seasonal dishes we've made are japrak (stuffed grape leaves), bamje (stewed okra) with meat (or without), summer vegetables, speca të mbushur (stuffed peppers), everyone's favourite Albanian dish fërgesë, and keke me fruta (fruit cake). Chef Erti shows true Albanian hospitality while sharing insights about living in Albania and what it was like to grow up during the Communism time. You'll enjoy the dishes that you eat paired with local wine, beer, and, of course, homemade raki.
