Set sail with us on board our boat, a traditional bragozzo named “Tortuga”: an authentic experience among nature, flavours and tradition. We will sail through the Venetian lagoon to reach the island of Sant'Erasmo, known as “the garden of Venice” for its agricultural vocation and the production of local delicacies.
Our destination is a small association headquarters immersed in the tranquility of the island, overlooking the lagoon and surrounded by a well-kept garden and a vegetable garden cultivated using natural methods. Here, thanks to the collaboration with a local organisation committed to the development of the territory, you can experience a moment of authentic connection with the environment and the agricultural culture of the lagoon.
After the welcome and a brief introduction to the association's activities, the food tasting will begin:
• Local wines produced on the island, with a fresh and mineral character, the result of the sandy soil and the marine influence.
• Typical Venetian cicchetti, prepared with seasonal ingredients and produce from the garden.
• Jams, compotes, and honey, made from locally grown fruit and flowers, with a delicate and natural taste.
• A selection of essential oils and aromatic waters, made from medicinal and aromatic plants grown in the garden, which you can smell, taste, or use in small sensory preparations.
The relaxed and familiar atmosphere will allow you to get to know a different Venice up close, one made up of silence, nature, and living traditions. No crowds, no urban noise: just the scent of herbs, the sound of water, and the true taste of the produce from the land.
After about two hours on the island, we will return by boat to Venice, enjoying the light and tranquility of the lagoon afternoon.
