What you can expect

A drive through a corridor of beautiful Gum trees to the quiet old capital of the 7th century Haripunchai Empire. Lamphun, formerly Haripunchai, is amongst the oldest cities in Thailand and predates Chiang Mai by several centuries. Visits are made to two temples of Lamphun, which are among the finest in the region…

WAT PHRA THAT HARIPUNCHAI, from the 12thcentury, which has two beautiful old chedis in the original Haripunchai style

WAT CHAMADEVI, dating back at least to the 10th century.

Another stop is made at the local market before heading back to Chiang Mai.
