If you've already done rappelling and some water-based activities, this option is perfect for a unique experience. Located in the Potrero Redondo communal land in the municipality of Santiago, Nuevo León, you'll enjoy the wonders of nature and the canyon's rock formations. This adventure includes trekking, swimming with a life jacket, and rappelling. On this tour, you'll enjoy turquoise-colored pools, natural waterslides, cliff jumps, and 7 rappels of 10, 30, 35, 48, 30, 45, and 50 metres, some of them down waterfalls that will give you an unforgettable experience. Our adventure begins at Hotel Cola de Caballo, which will be our meeting point. From there, we'll take an off-road vehicle for a 1.5-hour journey along a dirt road through the mountains until we reach the Potrero Redondo ejido to have a light breakfast and start getting ready with all the necessary gear to enjoy this adventure. Then, the 30-minute hike through pine forests and green areas begins, which you'll remember forever. Once this hike through the canyon is over, we'll reach the top of the first 10-meter rappel to warm up, with 4 more rappels to come. From here, there are more rappels, pools, slides, and fun, with time to rest a bit and have a snack. Your sixth and seventh rappels will give you an unforgettable experience, as they are done right next to a 110-meter-high waterfall. The last one will end in a large turquoise pool between the canyon's towering walls. Finally, and no less challenging, there is an uphill hike of about an hour to wrap up your adventure in the canyon. Once finished, you will return to the vehicle area to change into dry, comfortable clothes and enjoy a well-deserved meal with delicious local flavours. A 1.5-hour drive awaits to take you back to Hotel Cola de Caballo, our meeting point.
