Embark on a day of full immersion in maritime culture with the oyster farms of the Thau Lagoon and the auction at the fishing harbour of Agde.
You'll discover the expertise of oyster farmers and fishermen in an authentic atmosphere.
We offer a departure from Montpellier in a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus, with a small group of no more than 8 people.
THE PROGRAM:
- 10:00 AM: Departure from Montpellier
- 11 AM - 12 PM: Boat trip on the Thau Lagoon departing from Bouzigues, a pretty and peaceful fishing village. We will approach the oyster and mussel farms to learn how they are produced.
- 12 pm - 2 pm: After this starter, we will go and taste the seafood freshly taken from the lagoon in a producer's restaurant for a timeless moment with a magnificent view.
- 3 pm - 5 pm: We'll hit the road again to Agde, where we'll be welcomed by the local fishermen in the heart of the fish market. You can watch the catch of the day being unpacked and learn how the auction works for professionals, fishmongers, and restaurant owners.
