As we delve into the rich layers of Taormina’s history, art, and local traditions, we’ll stop to taste one of Sicily’s most iconic street foods — the arancino. These delicious fried rice balls, filled with classic ragù or local pistachio, are more than just a snack: they’re a symbol of Sicilian culinary heritage, rooted in centuries of cultural fusion.

Next, we’ll continue our walk through the charming alleys of Taormina, a town rich in history, architecture, and Mediterranean atmosphere. As we take in panoramic views and elegant facades, we’ll stop at a family-run wine bar with over 40 years of history. Known for its welcoming ambiance and dedication to local flavours, this spot offers a tasting of three delicious bruschettas: one with aubergines and sun-dried tomatoes, another with mozzarella and cured ham, and a third with tuna, mayonnaise, and onion — each bite telling a storey of Sicily’s simple yet vibrant culinary culture.
