Your experience kicks off with a comfortable private transfer from the meeting point to Llano del Jable, crossing the new road over the lava flows.
During the journey, you'll pass through areas visibly transformed by the 2021 eruption, where the volcano's effects on homes, crops, and infrastructure are still evident. This first contact will help you understand the magnitude of the event even before you start the hike.
When you reach the start of the 7 km route, after a brief introduction, you'll head to a natural viewpoint with spectacular views of the edge of the Tajogaite volcano crater and the youngest volcanic landscape in Spain.
At the viewpoint, we'll take a video and an aerial photo with a drone, capturing an exclusive and spectacular memory of your experience on the Tajogaite volcano.
From there, you'll start a gentle descent (600 m drop), skirting the volcanic cone and walking on ash from the last eruption. During the tour, your guide will tailor the content to your interests (geology, local history, or social impact), even sharing real testimonies from people affected by the 2021 eruption.
The activity ends in Las Manchas, one of the areas most impacted by the volcano. At the end of the excursion, you'll receive a unique souvenir: photos and video of the experience, including aerial images taken with a drone by a certified pilot.
Also, if you need it, you can request the Joëlette chair for people with reduced mobility. (You must notify us and make the request at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure availability and organisation.)
A safe, private, emotional, and deeply enriching experience that connects you with the living history of La Palma.
