What you can expect

  • Each year, humpback whales migrate to French Polynesian waters to breed and give birth, offering a remarkable opportunity to observe these magnificent marine mammals in the wild.

With a maximum of 6 guests aboard, our experienced, certified local captain and guide will take you in search of whales, sharing their knowledge of the ocean, whale behaviour, and conservation along the way.

Whale watching is the heart of this experience, with the possibility of snorkelling alongside whales when conditions allow. In-water encounters are never guaranteed and depend on sea conditions, whale behaviour, safety considerations, and applicable regulations. Our guide will assess each situation carefully, prioritising the well-being of both guests and whales.

Swimming requirements: Guests wishing to enter the water must be 15–65 years old, strong swimmers (100m unaided in open ocean), comfortable using snorkelling equipment, physically fit, and able to follow instructions immediately.

Whether observing whales from the boat or experiencing a permitted in-water encounter, discover the beauty of Tahiti's marine environment through a personal, small-group adventure.

All snorkelling and safety equipment is provided.

Tour may be cancelled if weather conditions affect the safe operation of the excursion.
