What you can expect

  • Full description
Discover the essence of Syros in just a few hours with a carefully designed half-day experience.
Your journey begins at Kini, a peaceful fishing village on the western coast. Walk along the waterfront, enjoy a morning coffee, and hear the charming legend of the mermaid and the fisherman.
Next, head to Ermoupoli, the island’s cosmopolitan capital. Admire the impressive Town Hall by Ernst Ziller, step into the historic Apollon Theatre, and stroll through the Vaporia district, once home to wealthy shipowners.
Visit the Church of the Dormition, where one of El Greco’s earliest works is housed, a rare piece of art from 1562.
Conclude your tour in Ano Syros, a medieval settlement perched above Ermoupoli. Wander through narrow lanes, admire the Catholic Cathedral of St. George, and learn about the legacy of rebetiko musician Markos Vamvakaris.
Finish your experience with a sweet taste of the island: loukoumi of Syros.
