At its headquarters in Stein, the traditional Faber-Castell company offers exciting sightseeing opportunities: the Faber-Castell'sche Schloss, the production of the wood-framed pens, the “Alte Mine” museum, and the special tour on the topic of “Schloss als Press Camp”.

A tour of the Graf von Faber-Castell'sche Schloss lets you experience the connection between the industrial spirit of progress and the traditional values of the German nobility. The exterior facade, with its Romanesque arches and columns, round and corner towers, has a medieval feel. Inside, you'll find an impressive variety of styles from the Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance periods through the Empire and Classicism to Art Nouveau. There's also an exhibition that tells the storey of the Faber-Castell family and company over 260 years.
