3-Day Stavanger & Lysefjord Experience
Day 1: Arrival & Stavanger City Experience

Arrive in Stavanger and check in to your centrally located hotel.

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walking tour through the city’s most iconic areas. Explore Gamle Stavanger, Øvre Holmegate, the harbour waterfront, and visit Stavanger Cathedral, one of the oldest cathedrals in Norway.

Your guide will provide local insights and recommendations for restaurants and cafés where you can experience authentic Norwegian cuisine.

Enjoy a free evening to explore Stavanger at your own pace.

Day 2: Preikestolen Hike or Lysefjord Cruise

After breakfast, begin your journey into Norway’s spectacular fjord landscapes.

Option A: Preikestolen Hike (May–September, weather permitting)
Travel through the Ryfast tunnel system before reaching the trailhead. Begin a guided hike to Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock), one of Norway’s most famous viewpoints.

Distance: approximately 8 km return
Duration: 4–5 hours
Difficulty: Moderate

At the summit, enjoy panoramic views over Lysefjord before returning to Stavanger.

Option B: Lysefjord Cruise (October–April or unsuitable weather)
If weather conditions are not suitable for hiking, the experience will be replaced with a scenic Lysefjord cruise. Enjoy views of steep cliffs, waterfalls, and the Preikestolen formation from the fjord.

After the main activity, additional scenic stops may include Sola Beach, Ullandhaug Tower, or viewpoints in Sandnes, depending on time and conditions.

Return to Stavanger for overnight stay.

Day 3: Free Morning & Departure

After breakfast, enjoy a free morning to explore Stavanger or nearby areas such as Sola and Sandnes.

Optional suggestions include visiting the Norwegian Petroleum Museum, exploring the harbour area, or relaxing in local cafés and shops.

The tour concludes around midday.

Important Information

The itinerary may be adjusted due to weather, safety, or operational conditions.

If the Preikestolen hike is not possible, it will be replaced with a Lysefjord cruise to ensure a comparable experience.
