Description

Explore the UNESCO-listed rainforest environment of Springbrook National Park. Led by an ecological expert, this tour takes you deep into the jungle where you’ll enter a cave with a cascading waterfall – the perfect habitat for the alluring glowworm.

With a maximum of 12 people on your tour, you get personalised attention from your guide, who’s a fountain of knowledge on this incredibly diverse environment. Keep your eyes peeled as you enjoy your walk through the enchanting national park, as there are more than 100 bird and 75 mammal species that call this place home.

The culmination of walks comes as you enter the famous grotto, where despite the complete darkness of the cave, 10,000 glowworms light up the ceiling like the stars in the night sky. As one of Australia’s largest known colonies of these beautiful creatures, this is one of the best places in the world to experience this dazzling display.

Jeff and Tim were our professional and Courteous guides. Tim was my guide when we split into groups; He was very knowledgeable about the wildlife we saw. For the 3 1/2 hrs, you spend only an hour at the park; you also cannot take pictures in the cave where the glowworms hangout. You also only spent 7-8 minutes in the caves. Getting a small Red light torch was a nice touch. Afterwards, on the way back to town, we stopped and did some star gazing. But for the price, I’d recommend doing the outing yourself with a rental car.

Fantastic night, great guide in Jeff. We were lucky as only 2 on this tour so really personal. When in the cave it was quiet and felt magical. On route to the cave we saw a few huntsman spiders and a trapdoor, an eel in the creek, a bush rat and wallaby.
