Activity itinerary

Horaku-ji Temple

  • 1h
Horakuji Temple is a Shingon Buddhist temple located in Higashi-sumiyoshi Ku, Osaka City. Its principal image is FudōMyouō (Acala). (Main Hall - FudōMyouō, Shakyamuni Buddha, Eleven-faced Kannon Bodhisattva, Jizo Bodhisattva, etc.) The FudōMyouō Grand Festival is held on the 28th of January, May, and September. Among many skilled spiritualists, Horakuji Temple is said to be the temple with the strongest spiritual power in the Kansai region, and it enjoys a good reputation. I have also heard stories of people who, after visiting Horakuji Temple when they were feeling unwell, found their health returned to normal while they were praying there. The guide will recite Buddhist scriptures on behalf of the tour participants.

Chohoji Temple

  • 40m
Chōhōji Temple is a (Kouyasan) Shingon Buddhist temple l in Hirano Honmachi, HiranoKu, Osaka City. The main object of worship is an eleven-faced Kannon Bodhisattva statue (consecrated annually on May 18th). It also is Enma-Daiō statue (opened annually on May 18th). Every year on May 18th, the doors to the main objects of worship, the eleven-faced Kannon Bodhisattva statue and the Enma Daio statue, are opened, a memorial service is held, and the seal of Enma Daio is bestowed. This seal is known as the "Passport to Paradise." During this festival, a connection is forged by bestowing upon worshippers a sacred seal bearing Enma-ō signature onto their forehead. (The bestowal of King Yama's sacred seals is rare throughout Japan.) It is said that this will prevent one from going to hell after death. The guide will recite Buddhist scriptures on behalf of the tour participants.

Yatsurugi Shrine

  • 20m
There are some shrines named Yatsurugi Shrine in Japan, but the one I am introducing is the Yatsurugi Shrine in Joto-Ku, Osaka City. It's said to be a shrine dedicated to a god who protects against misfortune. This shrine is well known to supernatural science researchers due to the following two time-travel experiences: Case 1: A housewife time-traveled from age 37 to primary school age after colliding with a bicycle in front of the Torii gate. Case 2: A man succeeded in going to the parallel world that is his pre-divorce (original) world he wished for after his divorce. Because of these incidents, this shrine is also known as the "Time-Travel Shrine" by the researchers and others. The guide will recite the Shinto prayers on behalf of the tour participants.
