Forget hurried breakfasts: at Casa dell’Upupa, in Sorrivoli di Roncofreddo, the morning becomes an experience of flavour and inspiration. Here, you don’t just sit at a table: you step into a living space, surrounded by natural light, large windows, and the atmosphere of an atelier where artworks coexist with brushes, paints, and stories.

The day begins with a high-quality breakfast featuring both sweet and savoury options, prepared with zero-kilometer ingredients and served in a scenic setting. This is a time to slow down, savour pastries and local specialities, and let the aroma of freshly brewed coffee envelop you as your gaze wanders over the landscape.

After breakfast, you will continue with a guided, narrated tour of the house-museum. You will discover the “genius loci” of the place and its identity, which is linked to the architect and artist Ilario Fioravanti, as you observe the works in their natural environment and also gain access to areas that are normally private. More than a tour, it’s an encounter: an opportunity to hear the stories behind a painting, to understand how a creative process unfolds, and to feel, for one morning, like part of an authentic, bohemian world.
