    Celebrated for its arts and crafts culture, Concordia is full of artisans carving handmade furniture, painting pottery in pre-Columbian motifs, and peddling jewellery in traditional Mexican styles. Admire the wares and then make your way towards the colonial mining village of Copala.

    Settled by the Spanish in 1565, Copala is filled with postcard-worthy architecture and flanked by coconut, mango, and banana plantations. Stroll through its lively zócalo (square) and step into the nave of the 17th-century Mexican-Baroque Church of San Sebastian before sitting down to a delicious lunch of authentic, regional cuisine.
