Do you want to have an out-of-time experience in the Sienese hills?

Hi, I am Lucia and through my weaving class, we will take an ideal journey back to the 1300s, when, in the very area of Radicondoli where I am located, wool weaving was thriving and women were making hand-woven textiles on traditional looms, similar to the one I own inside my home workshop, along with my handiwork, while I will tell you the secrets of the art of weaving.

You will be able to experiment with your own hands, the basic technique of weaving warp and weft, using a simple frame loom, the first and rudimentary weaving tool of human beings, where you can devote yourself to weaving colourful scarves. If we can maintain silence for a few brief moments or even within a quiet discourse, you will experience deep relaxation of mind and body through this manual technique: slow, repetitive, but very relaxing.

At the conclusion of our experience, you can enjoy a relaxing herbal tea and take home the work done to keep as a memento.
