Activity itinerary

Come meet the reindeer herd, feed them by hand, and try your luck with a lasso. In just 3 hours (transfers included), you'll get a real taste of Sami reindeer herding life. After a 35-minute drive along the coast, we arrive at camp, where a large herd of reindeer will be waiting for you. You'll feed them by hand and get a go at traditional lasso-throwing. Need to warm up? Head into our gamme (a traditional wooden building) for hot drinks and cookies — tea, coffee and hot chocolate are on offer the whole visit. We'll end the day in the lavvu, gathered around the fire, listening to stories about Sami culture and life as a reindeer herder. Your guide will finish with a joik, a traditional Sami song.
