What you can expect

Experience 2 unique sides of New Zealand on this combination excursion to the Omaka Aviation Heritage Museum and the Marlborough wine region. Gain insights into the country's history with a look at early and fighter aircraft, and get to know its culinary traditions through wine tastings.

After stepping off your cruise at the Port of Marlborough, get transferred to the Omaka Aviation Heritage Museum by driving through the scenic Picton and Blenheim regions. The museum is home to an impressive collection of early aircraft and fighter crafts from both World Wars. Learn about the history of aviation and its place in New Zealand culture as you browse the detailed and comprehensive exhibits.

Drive out to the Marlborough region after your museum visit to taste some of the country's finest wines. Although it's most famous for its Sauvignon Blanc wines, Marlborough also produces excellent Pinot noir and Chardonnay. Visit a number of small, family-run wineries to learn about the region's history of viticulture and each estate's pressing, barreling, and ageing processes. You can sample several award-winning vintages and unique wines at each place, experiencing for yourself why the valley is so famous.

On your way back to port, pause at a chocolate factory to taste gourmet handmade chocolates. This final stop is a luxurious and sumptuous way to end your day of exploration.
