Upon arrival, the crew will welcome you aboard and provide a safety and induction briefing before departure. Get ready to set sail through fjords, channels, and ice-filled waters towards one of Patagonia’s most breathtaking destinations — the San Rafael Lagoon.

After around 3 hours of navigation, we’ll reach the San Rafael Lagoon National Park, home to the majestic San Rafael Glacier, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. If weather and tide conditions permit, we’ll disembark for a short 30-minute walk along a trail to visit the historic ruins of Hotel Ofqui, a reminder of Patagonia’s early exploration days. Back on board, we’ll approach the glacier’s massive ice wall to witness its awe-inspiring size and listen to the thunderous sound of ice breaking and falling into the lagoon. You’ll have time to capture incredible photos of the blue icebergs, and if you’re lucky, spot leopard seals resting on the floating ice. While admiring this breathtaking view, enjoy a homemade Patagonian lunch served on board, followed by a toast with whisky or local liqueur over ancient glacial ice, and finish with coffee and artisanal chocolates — the perfect ending to a once-in-a-lifetime moment.

We return to Bahia Exploradores where the group will ride the Minivan on the way back to Puerto Rio Tranquilo time trip is 90 minutes

In the afternoon, we’ll begin our return journey across the lagoon, surrounded by the silence and grandeur of Patagonia’s natural landscape. Upon arrival at Bahía Exploradores, our team will assist you with transport back to Puerto Río Tranquilo.
